What Our Wonderful Families Have to Say

FAQ's

A funeral is a time to come together to honour and reflect on a life that has had meaning and impact. It allows space to show respect, celebrate memories, offer prayers if desired, begin the grieving process, and give others the opportunity to pay their respects.

If a will has been left, the executor is responsible for carrying out any wishes expressed, with arrangements typically made in consultation with the family. When there is no will, authority generally rests with the next of kin.

There is no rush. We will support you in finding a timeframe that allows space for family, reflection, and practical considerations. Most funerals are arranged within 7 to 14 days of the passing.

We move at a pace that feels right for you. Most arrangement meetings take around 90 minutes, allowing time to gently begin shaping a meaningful and personalised farewell.

During the meeting, we will complete the necessary paperwork, including registering the death, and talk through the details of the service such as the type of farewell, date, time, venue, and any personal touches you wish to include.

Absolutely. Every farewell we arrange is unique. From music and readings to cultural traditions, locations, and personal details, we work closely with you to honour your loved one in a way that feels right.

Yes. We respectfully support all cultural, spiritual, religious, and non-religious traditions, and are experienced in creating both traditional and contemporary services.

A viewing can bring comfort to some families and provide a meaningful opportunity to say goodbye. It is always a personal choice and something we can gently discuss together based on what feels right for you.

A coffin is shaped to follow the natural form of the body, wider at the shoulders and tapering at the head and feet. Coffins have removable lids secured with thumb screws and are generally more compact in size.

A casket is rectangular with straight edges and features a hinged lid secured with swing clasps. Caskets are larger and often have more detailed internal linings, which some families prefer for viewings.

Costs can vary depending on the choices made, however cremation is generally the more economical option.

A direct cremation is a simple and cost-effective option that involves an unattended cremation without a service. Your loved one is transferred directly to the crematorium, with no additional ceremonial elements at that time.

An eco-friendly (or natural) funeral focuses on reducing environmental impact while maintaining dignity in death. This may include environmentally sustainable coffins and urns, natural burial options, and minimal funerary practices.

Once we have approval from the Funeral Administrator to lodge the Death Certificate on the day of the service, it usually takes around 10 working days for it to be issued by Births, Deaths & Marriages. The certificate is sent to our office, and as soon as it arrives we will contact the Administrator to arrange either postage or a convenient time for collection.
